W.A.L.T find the key info in a question.
A mobile phone company has 860 customers in New Zealand and 890 customers in other countries. In total, how many customers does it have?
A mobile phone company has 860 customers in New Zealand and 890 customers in other countries. In total, how many customers does it have?
860=NZ 800+800=1500
60+90=150
890=other 1500+150=1750
total=1750
Reflection: it was easy to do 60+90
my next step is to do problems with larger numbers.

It definitely makes questions a lot easier when you can pick out the key information. Then you don't have to worry about all the other words :)
